Laura J. Simon was born in Mount Holly, New Jersey and graduated from Northern Burlington High School. Ms. Simon then attended and graduated from Rutgers College, Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. She majored in political science, and minored in Economics. Following graduation, she attended Widener Law School in Wilmington, Delaware, graduating in 1997. She was a member of law review, participated in the Pennsylvania civil clinic, and was on the Dean’s List.

During law school, Ms. Simon clerked at the law firm of Brandt & Dalton, P.A., in Wilmington, Delaware. Upon graduation, Ms. Simon completed a judicial clerkship with The Honorable Fred S. Silverman of the Superior Court of the State of Delaware, in New Castle County. She assisted with research and writing on both criminal and civil matters.

In 1998, Ms. Simon returned to the law firm, now named Dalton & Associates, P.A. She has worked at the firm ever since, specializing in personal injury litigation. Her experience also includes products liability cases, civil rights litigation, and commercial litigation. She is admitted to practice law in the States of Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and the District of Delaware. She is a member of the Delaware Trial Lawyer’s Association and the American Association for Justice.  Laura has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America in the area of Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions – Plaintiffs in 2019.  She has been named in Delaware Today’s Best Lawyers 2021 for Personal Injury.  She represented plaintiffs who suffered from defective pelvic mesh implants in Delaware and the multi-district litigation in West Virginia.  She also has experience in defective battery and vaping device litigation.

All of her clients are individuals.  She prioritizes aggressive advocacy and personal attention towards her clients who have often suffered loss in multi-faceted ways.

Ms. Simon has volunteered through the Office of the Child Advocate in Delaware, the Delaware State Bar Association’s Wills for Seniors Program, and as a Board member at Christ Church Episcopal Preschool. She resides in Wilmington, Delaware, with her husband and three children.
